The 2025 East Winter Circuit has come to an end, and on Sunday the champions were crowned. Pure Basketball Rivera took home the trophy in the Orange League, and Team Takeover did so in the Blue League. A recap of those teams’ action below.

 

Pure Basketball Rivera caps off dominant run

Pure Basketball Rivera 2029 took home the Orange League Champion honors on Sunday afternoon with a 79-52 win over NY Lightning FCAA in the finals. They capped off an impressive tournament run with three of four wins coming by 20-plus points, only winning on game close against Castle Athletics in the quarterfinals. Erick Rodriguez Jr., Zayden Garcia, and Luis Martell delivered some notable performances in the championship run, and they along with other teammates are names to track over the next couple of years. 

Team Takeover wins Blue League Championship 

Team Takeover 2030 won the Blue League Championship in dominating fashion over USC Unleashed 63-41 after knocking off Team Final in the semifinals. USC Unleashed had an impressive run of their own, knocking off Team United and City Rocks NY. Takeover took over games with their size and length on the perimeter and interior, capable of defending at a high level for long spurts and also controlling the glass while finishing at the rim.
