2024 Jordan Holiday Classic Saturday Evening Recap

Day two of the Jordan Holiday Classic was nothing short of amazing. The gym was packed with stars as two of the nation's top girls programs battled it out, while the crowd saw a local team topple the top program in the country. Now that Saturday's games have concluded, MADE Hoops recaps the action from day two.

Final: Bishop McNamara (MD) 57, Westtown (PA) 43

McNamara’s Two-Way Attack Proves To Be Too Much

As the only girls game slated to take place at the Jordan Holiday School, Bishop McNamara and Westtown featured some of the most highly touted prospects in the country. McNamara features a team of players that have been playing together for a while, and it shows on both ends of the floor. Their suffocating defense led to them forcing tough shots, and getting a ton of fast break buckets. University of Georgia commit Zhen Craft led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds on 11-15 from the field. Qandace Samuels also made a large contribution with 17 points of her own.

Although McNamara made it tough on her, 2027 guard Jessie Moses managed to score a team high 15 points, with half of her makes for the game coming from behind the arc. 2027 guard Jordyn Palmer finished 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Final: Dynamic Prep (TX) 75, Bishop McNamara (MD) 56

Sam Houston Commit Paces Dynamic Prep To A Win

Jacobe Coleman made his presence felt on both ends of the floor today in a huge win for Dynamic Prep. Coleman netted 16 points with 5 helpers to match, while also managing to garner four steals. Jermaine O'Neal Jr. chipped in with 11 points on 4-7 from the field, using his springy athleticism to obtain and-one dunks and various shots around the rim. Jaden Toombs added 14 points and 10 rebounds in a double-double.

McNamara’s Qayden Samuels had some exciting plays throughout the game, whether it was electrifying dunks or tough stepback jumpers. Samuels paced McNamara with 24 points and 5 rebounds on 50% shooting from the field. Prince-Alex Moody tried his best to help alleviate pressure, scoring 20 points of his own with 4 of them being three-point field goals.

Final: Long Island Lutheran (NY) 77, Christopher Columbus (FL) 66

LuHi’s Guard Play is Too Much

Long Island Lutheran pulled off their biggest win of the season up until this point, defeating the number one team in the country in front of a NYC crowd. LuHi’s guard trio of Nigel James, and Dylan and Kaden Mingo took turns carrying the offense at various moments of the game.

James’ defense is what initially sparked the LuHi offensive energy, forcing multiple turnovers or displaying the toughness to dig inside and rebound. Offensively his quickness and ability to finish around the rim led to him finishing with 18 points and 7 assists. Down the stretch it would be the Mingo brothers who would get it done late. Three point shooting and downhill creativity between the two of them made it hard for Columbus to keep their defense intact.

Kayden Mingo paced the Crusaders with 25 points on 9-14 shooting while Dylan Mingo added 20 points of his own, along with 4 steals. The Explorers tried to make a surge late, but couldn't manage to get key stops down the stretch. Caleb Gaskins led them in points with 21 on 10-18 from the field. Jaxon Richardson continues to display his overall productivity, scoring 19 in a variety of ways. Cameron Boozer added 12 points, with his brother Cayden adding 11 points with 10 assists.
