Army National Guard presents 'Guard Watch': Darius Acuff

Darius Acuff Jr. is one of the most popular names in high school basketball due to his speed, his skill, and his platform. The 2025 guard currently sits at No. 17 in the MADE rankings and backed that ranking up with a strong performance at Midwest Mania.

Acuff is a smaller guard, standing around 6’2”, but he’s never let that stop him from being an electric scorer. His elite handle, speed with the ball, and ability to score from multiple levels make him one of the more electrifying guards in high school basketball. Acuff has shown that he can score 30 points in any given game in the drop of a hat on both the high school level with IMG Academy and the grassroots level with The Family.

The talented senior-to-be could pretty much handpick any school he wants to go to in the entire country, and holds over 20 offers already in his recruitment. Arkansas was a school he mentioned among others when MADE Hoops interviewed him this past weekend at Midwest Mania, and John Calipari extended an offer to him today. Michigan, UConn, Alabama, Houston, and many other top programs have extended offers to Acuff.

With a strong summer with the Family, he will maintain his lofty ranking and perhaps even move up, while also adding a bunch more offers.
