2024 Jordan Holiday Classic Program Preview: The Phelps School

The 2024 Jordan Holiday Classic is just around the corner. With some of the nation’s top programs making the trip to New York City to take on some of the Empire State’s top programs it may be cold outside, but the action will certainly be heating up Baruch Gymnasium. With that in mind, MADE highlights each program taking part in the JHC and takes a look at three things to watch heading into their time at Baruch. Next up is The Phelps School (PA):

Nyce Bakare Continues to Ascend

Canadian wing Dionycius Bakare is one of the more naturally talented players on Phelps this year, and has taken a step forward with the departure of Will Riley, acting as one of the go-to scorers alongside his senior forwards. It’s been a good development for Bakare, who looks better and better as he’s asked to do more.

Yue is the X-Factor

The first big man, and at times, player, off the bench for Phelps, Moon Yue is also one of the most skilled players on the floor. A 6-foot-10 big man with uncanny vision, great footwork, and solid shooting ability, Yue is able to play alongside any other big and at times can have the offense run through him. A big game at Jordan Holiday Classic would go a long way in solidifying himself as one of the top freshmen in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Nnani is a Steal For Arkansas State

A talented 2025 forward who missed part of this AAU season due to injury, Onyx Nnani is fully healthy and has produced at a high level to start the season. He visited Arkansas State as he was working his way back and liked what he heard and saw, as he committed just a couple of weeks after. With his recruitment taken care of, the senior forward has looked like the Phelps Schools’ best player  for a good part of the early season.
