2024 Jordan Holiday Classic Sunday Afternoon Recap

The third and final day of the Jordan Holiday Classic has been action packed. Two of the top teams in the country went head to head, a number of underclassmen impressed, and one team finished their JHC weekend unblemished. MADE Hoops recaps the action from Sunday morning.

Final: Dynamic Prep (TX) 74, Lawrence Woodmere (NY) 66

Dynamic Closes Weekend Perfect as a Sophomore Shines

Dynamic jumped out to an early lead thanks to the senior trio of Jacobe Coleman, Jermaine O’Neal Jr., and Jaden Toombs, but it was sophomore wing Ryan Hampton that put up 13 points in 12 minutes to close out Woodmere in the second half.

Junior guard Troy Fason was fantastic for Woodmere in defeat, going for 26 points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Kaleb Popette chipped in with 14.

Final: Link Academy (MO) 57, Columbus (FL) 49

Big Men Battle Steals the Show on Sunday

Link vs Columbus was always going to feature the big men. With Cameron Boozer and Caleb Gaskins suiting up for Columbus and Link countering with A’Mare Bynum and Chris Cenac, that was certainly the case. It was Bynum that stole the show, going 8-of-9 from the field including 5-of-6 from three. The 6-foot-8 big has great foot work and a growing skillset that makes him an ideal fit for the modern game.

Boozer scored an efficient 27 himself, going 11-for-17 from the field and ripping down 7 rebounds in the process. The talented big man continues to get to his spots seemingly whenever he wants and despite the team’s setback this weekend, will be firmly in the conversation for top players in the class until the end.

Backcourt Shines For SFA in Second W of the Weekend

Sophomore TJ Jones continues his strong run of play, finishing with 18 points while going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Backcourt strike partner Jasiah Cannady led St. Frances with a game high 20 points. Both guards were aggressive in creating for themselves and others and have clearly learned to play well off one another.

Caroll’s talented wing duo of Luca Foster and Munir Greig led the way offensively while guard Christian Matos knocked down several big shots. Ultimately though, St. Frances was just too much for the short-handed Philadelphia powerhouse
