Army National Guard presents 'Guard Watch': Lance Stone
June 2, 2024 by MADE Hoops Staff
There might not be a more underrated player in the country than Lance Stone, a 5’8” true point guard out of Michigan. Don’t let the size fool you, though, as Stone has very big game. The talented 2025 prospect has been putting MHC opponents on notice all spring.

Lance Stone is one of the more exciting players in high school basketball and a throwback floor general type of guard. He gets to wherever he wants on the court with ease and is a tough defensive assignment for any opponent due to his ability to get paint touches, see the floor, and score in a variety of ways. Once or twice a game, Stone will do something on the offensive end of the floor that makes your jaw drop as he makes defenders look silly or makes a pass that you didn’t know was possible.
Stone isn’t just limited to the hardwood, either. He’s a standout in track and cross country, and won the city of Detroit’s Male Athlete of the Year Award within the past couple of weeks. However, basketball is where his future lies and he’s received college offers from South Carolina Upstate, Detroit Mercy, Vanderbilt, High Point, and Toledo within the past year.
