December 2, 2024 by Greg Stein
The Mission League once again projects to be one of the most competitive and grueling leagues in Southern California, filled with high-major talent and intriguing storylines across all 8 programs. From defending CIF State Open Division Champion Harvard-Westlake, led by Duke signee Nik Khamenia, to an absolutely loaded Notre Dame squad featuring #1 ranked player Tyran Stokes and Josiah Nance, the top of the league is as strong as ever. Perennial powerhouse Sierra Canyon, bolstered by an influx of high-profile transfers including Maxi Adams and Gavin Hightower, adds to the league's star power, while programs like Crespi and Alemany look to build on last year's success. Meanwhile, teams like Loyola, St. Francis, and Chaminade will grind their way through the league's relentless schedule while leaning on experienced cores in a bid to win enough games to make the playoffs. With so much talent across the board, the Mission League promises to deliver another exciting and unpredictable season.
