The state of Texas is filled with high level talent and every year it produces multiple Division I prospects. The 2026 class in Texas has multiple highly touted and recruited players who have been proving why Division I programs are taking great interest in them lately. Some players in this class have impressed many, displaying skills and intangibles that can translate to the next level during the grassroots season.
Here’s a look at some of the 2026 Texas prospects that have been getting recruited by Division I programs in recent days.
Christian Gibson, 2026 Combo Guard, Mayde Creek (TX)/ Houston Hoops EYBL 17U - Wichita State and Virginia
Gibson is an elite combo guard who can score on all three levels using his feel for the game to his advantage. He combines scoring with excellent playmaking, making him a highly recruited guard in his class. He has many mid major and high level Division I offers, with Wichita State and Virginia being the most recent ones.
