Georgia 3A Postseason Primer: Regions 5-8

This time in February is always an exciting time of year for Georgia high school basketball fans.  It’s the time of year for the region tournaments.  We get to see who’s going to make that one last push to take one of those four spots from each region to represent at the state tournament.  3A this year will run differently in terms of the state tournament, separating private from public, but in the meantime there’s still region champions to determine.  Read below to see all the breakdowns from across the state for each region….

3A - Region 5 - AT Riverdale HS

First Round - February 10th

Second Round - February 12th

Semifinals - February 14th

Championship/Consolation - February 15th

Favorite - Cedar Grove has been ranked number one virtually the entire season in 3A.  The Saints have a ridiculous amount of talent, but they’ve also played the hardest non-region
