5 North Carolina Impact Transfers to Watch

One thing that’s become increasingly common in college basketball is players hitting the transfer portal. While there may not be an official portal for high school basketball, the trend has made its way to grassroots hoops. It’s certainly not as common as in college, but there are plenty of players on the move throughout the offseason. Today, we’re looking at five transfers from North Carolina who will be extremely impactful for their new teams.

2026 Trevor Manhertz: Green Level → Christ School

The 6’8” wing transferred to Christ School this offseason from Green Level in Cary, North Carolina. He’s been seriously turning heads since his junior year began, as he showed out for Green Level and helped lead them to a 26-5 record and Elite Eight playoff appearance. He was named All-Conference and All-District, and has spent this past summer playing with Garner Road’s 2026 National Team. Manhertz has seen his stock seriously increase; he’s been named a standout at every tournament he’s gone to, and helped Garner Road win the Phenom Hoops May Madness tournament. He also picked up his first Division I offer this summer, from Boston University.
