2027 Standouts

Raylon May Jr, The Grind is Real: This guard has great poise running the offense, he looks to attack the gaps but can space the floor out as well. He has confidence in his shot to let it fly from deep in half court sets. He is not afraid to attack and is crafty using his inside hand to avoid contact on layups.

 

 Will Gause, The Skill Factory- This guard uses his strength to muscle other guards and finish through contact. He is a solid free throw shooter and looks to attack as much as possible, he comes away with steals at the top of the zone as well.

 

 Reese Alston, RA Elite: This guard led the offense, telling his teammates what to do when bringing the ball up the court. He likes to use ball screens to attack baseline where he can finish on either side of the rim or put up floaters.

 

 Broderick Wyatt Jr, RA Elite: This forward is always fighting for position on defense, denying his man the ball and boxing out for rebounds. Offensively he is constantly moving, flashing to the ball and popping out to make himself available. He can pass too, throwing a dime underneath after looking off two defenders with a ball fake.

 

 Terrell Jackson, Dallas Mustangs: Standing at 6’7”, Terrell rebounded his area well, ran the floor and was able to block/alter a handful of shots throughout the game. The 2028 F played up a year and did not look out of place.

 

 Paul Osaruyi, GTA United: The big is extremely lengthy and uses his wingspan to disrupt shots. Offensively he is comfortable catching on the perimeter as he can put it on the ground with his back to the basket or step in and hit mid range shots. He also impressed by hitting a shimmy fade in the middle of the paint.

 

 Mayom Mayom, GTA United: Another high level prospect who put his length on display this weekend. Mayom presents a high motor, runs the floor well and can rebound out of his area. His capabilities to stretch the floor and knock down the occasional 3 makes him even more intriguing moving forward.

 

 Rylan Austin, ProSkills: This guard plays with a chip on his shoulder looking to attack his man. He can score around the rim but is an elite passer as well when running the offense. He had a few clutch layups down the stretch through traffic in a close game against J Smoove Celtics. 

 

 Jesse Mutumbo, ProSkills: This lengthy wing has the potential to be an elite defender. He shows he wants it, regularly matching up with the best guards and giving them trouble. He is not afraid to guard for the whole length of the floor and he knows to force jump shots as he’s lengthy enough to contest shots at the last second. He moves his feet well and allows no easy baskets.

Jonathan White, Team Spartans National: This guard was elite with the rock in his hand running high ball screens. Even when they threw two defenders at him he was still able to get crafty and score at the rim. He is unselfish and looks to advance the ball up the floor whenever he can. He showed some hustle getting in the ground after loose balls. 

Jalen Rogers, Team Spartans National: The big man was unstoppable when catching near the rim. He has great footwork, drop stepping defenders to get easy layups. He works for rebounds on both ends, keeping possessions alive to get second, and even third chance looks for his squad.

Gabe Nesmith, Nightrydas Elite: The athletic combo guard played above the rim and did an excellent job cutting to score. He runs the floor hard in transition to run teams out of the gym, but can bring the ball up the court and facilitate the offense as well.

Henry Robinson Jr, Nightrydas Elite: Another lengthy athletic wing that was effective in transition for this team. He is an excellent defender looking to grant he ball and push it in transition the other way. He crashes the boards on offense as well.

2028 Standouts

Camden Cooper, Freebandz WAO: The long athletic guard was able to score on all 3 levels, knocking down tough shots in big time situations. His length and skill with the ball served him as one of the top prospects in the event for his class. 

 

 Nelson Neumann, JL3 Elite National: This guard has excellent passer vision and looks extremely comfortable at all times. He did a great job of leading his teammates and passing the ball ahead into open space. He looks to create space using his hesitation and drawing the defense into the lane. He can also knock down perimeter threes.

 

 Landon Horton, JL3 Elite National: this guard is super quick and looks to attack whenever possible. He looks to initiate contact with his body to get the defense off balance and finish at the cup. He is unselfish and made some beautiful dump passes at the basket to his big.

 

 Knowledge Wright, Vegas Elite: This guard is very shifty and attacks full speed. He has touch to score with floaters but can get to the cup or shoot from outside as well. He looks to find shooters in the corners and always gets back on defense.

 

 Dillon Richie, Vegas Elite: The crafty point guard used his ball skills to get by defenders who were pressing in the backcourt. He has a beautiful spin move that he used to get by defenders in the open court and at the rim.

 

 Chase Pettiford, Team Reborn: The big guard has great ball control and showed off his IQ, cutting back door for easy give and Gos when his man wasn’t paying attention. He can stretch the floor and hit threes in the half court, or attack with the ball. He also is a solid passer always making the extra pass and delivering assists through tight windows.

 

 Josiah Gillard, SDA: This guard is a great facilitator and displayed patience, waiting for his teammates to set up before running offense, and knowing when to pull the ball out. He can score around the rim well, using step-throughs in traffic and laying it up with his inside hand when defenders are in chase. He was extremely efficient in transition, regularly making quick decisions on the break. 

 

 JJ Crawford, Seattle Rotary Style: This guard is a shooter. He is knock-down in catch and shoot scenarios but was impressive pulling up beyond the arc, splashing threes off ball screens, fading or with his feet set. This kid is a problem once he gets hot. 

 

 Will Conroy Jr, Seattle Rotary Style: The point guard for this rotary team, he is a true facilitator and looks extremely comfortable with the ball at all times. He changes speeds to create space and is unselfish, always making the extra pass. He can break down defenders with his ball skills as he has a deep bag of dribble moves to score off the bounce.

2029 Standouts

Austin Hill, Texas United: A true point guard with crazy range off the bounce. He was throwing down double crossovers and immediately stepping into knock down threes. He has excellent ball control and gets down hill as well. He even finished through contact on the center for an and one. He regularly draws contact and is knockdown from the stripe.

 

 Jeremiah Luke, Texas United: The athletic guard runs the floor at all times and always has his head up to push to the man ahead. He can run the offense if need be as he has good passer vision and ball control, but was more effective cutting off the ball to get the offense moving. He can stretch the floor and hit threes as well. 

 

 DJ Hunter, Austin Select: This guard is hard nosed and looks to break down whoever is in front of him to get to the rim. He gets downhill and has great body control, stopping on a dime to lose his defender and going up through contact to draw fouls. He has good footwork using step through and euro steps in the lane.

 

 Aaron Mathis, Austin Select: the wing uses his size and strength to bully smaller defenders and get to the rim. He is explosive and has a good first step that he pairs well with his jab series. He can shoot from the outside when given open looks with his feet set.

 

 Eli Cortes, NJ Legacy: This guard has great feel and ball control with the basketball. His hesitation regularly freezes defenders or gets them off balance for him to blow by them. He has a quick pull up that he never hesitates to let fly when he has space. Plays with a fast tempo, never letting the defense catch its breath.

 

 Hassie Carter, NJ Legacy: This guard came in and made an immediate impact off the bench going 3-3 in his first three shots. He knocked down back to back threes, one of which was an and-one from the corner. Then he had a nice turn around floater over the big man. He has great ball control and can score in bunches.

 

 Brendan Fragela, Nightrydas: The guard ran the offense well as he is crafty enough to break his man down when attacking. Excellent feel around the perimeter when hunting hit shot, moves well without the ball. He uses his speed and explosiveness to push the tempo, and rarely turns the ball over. He always makes the extra pass and looks to reverse the basketball. High IQ player who impacts the game in all facets. Difference maker in late game situations when the team needs him most.

 

 Josiah Brook, Nightrydas: the big man moves well on his feet flashing to the ball and even getting one dribble pull ups off from mid range. He is active on defense, fighting for loose balls and stepping out on his man outside the perimeter. He looks to help and contest around the rim whenever he can. Athleticism runs in the family, his brother Ja’ Corey who is a wideout at Alabama.

 

 Jett Pruitt DPS: The guard uses a combination of strength and quickness that makes him hard to stop when attacking the basket. He can change speeds and create space with the ball. He also has good passer vision and looks to drop assists off right under the basket. He came away with a handful of steals in the backcourt that led to quick baskets.

 

 Khaleef Wilson, DPS: The big is extremely athletic and can jump for rebounds at the rim. He has great control and speed with the basketball, giving him the ability to push the tempo in transition and go coast to coast. He stays active in passing lanes shooting the gaps for steals. He works for rebounds and knows to kick out to shooters when he’s swarmed.
