Caleb Williams Commits To Georgetown

2024 | 6’7” Wing | Sidwell Friends (DC) & Team Takeover (EYBL)

The #67 player in our 2024 rankings, Caleb Williams recently committed to Georgetown over Indiana, Villanova, Syracuse, & Michigan among others. The 6-foot-7 wing joins Thomas Sorber (#28 in 2024) and Kayvaun Mulready (#103 in 2024) in the Hoyas 2024 recruiting class. Coach Cooley has kept his foot on the gas since arriving in DC and Georgetown now holds one of the top 2024 recruiting classes, although it’s still early. Williams ultimately decided to stay home and this was a huge pickup for the Hoyas to overcome some other high-major programs by securing a commitment from the DMV native. He has a track record of winning and he's the type of prospect who is going to play with a relentless motor.

Williams is a well-built & functional athlete who provides a notable two-way impact on the floor. Physical handler at the point of attack who leverages his frame well to generate space for mid-range jumpers or opportunities at the rim. Reliable pull-up scorer from the insice the arc who is able to settle into mid-range jumpers after beating closeouts or using his body to get separation. Capable spot-up scorer from three-point range with a fluid release off the catch, although improving consistency will be key. An aggressive rim finisher who has always displayed the ability to take bumps & finish through contact with his dominant hand. Tough on-ball defender who has the build & strength to wall-off slashers, plus he’s evidently light on his feet which allows him to guard in space. Highly productive positional rebounder who plays with an evident motor and physicality on the glass. Could certainly end up developing into a prospect who fits the 3&D mold that is highly valued in today’s game.
