Xavier: “I visit with them October 13th-15th. I like how fast paced they are and how well they move the ball. I think they led (the conference) in assists, which is something that means a lot. That’s unselfish basketball and that’s what the coaches are teaching me. They’ve been very consistent, they talk to me pretty much everyday.”
VCU: “Their staff is just super energetic, they’re really young and enthusiastic. Any player needs a coach that’s just willing to be there everyday with that energy. That’s a lot right there because not every coach can do that, some are old. Their whole staff bringing that energy and just being so fired up everyday, that’s definitely something.”
Penn State: “I really like Coach (Mike) Rhoades, he’s really consistent with me and he’s a really genuine guy. The whole staff is like that. When I went up there, they really showed good hospitality. Just how they play, they play fast and they’re physical, so I feel like I could potentially thrive real well in that conference. With their system, obviously I could thrive too.”
TCU: “There’s a lot to say about them. I’ve been talking to them for awhile now, for about two years they’ve been on me and watching my game. They’ve seen all of the levels, everything that I’ve went through over those two years. That consistency and Coach (Jamie) Dixon and Coach (Tony) Benford coming to my practices almost every week just shows me they’re really invested in my game and they really have big plans for me. Just having all of the statistics for me when I got there, they really broke my game down and really spent time on it to show me what they like about me so much. On top of that, what they could do to help me make it to that next level. They’re close to home, too, so that’s a plus.”
NC State: “Coach (Kevin) Keatts is a really, really good guy, I love him so much. He’s real easy to connect to, and Coach Joel (Justus) too. They’re players, I spent time with them and they were super cool and super genuine, and kind of brought me in as if I was already there. They’re also kind of close to where I’m from. I’m from Boston and them being kind of close to family that’s not in Texas. They’re a really tough team, a really tough and fast team, and I think those two things really mesh well with my game. That’s how I like to play, I like to run, I’m an athletic dude. They play hard and I pride myself in playing hard, so I think I’d fit really well in that system.”
Visits: “Virginia and Virginia Tech, I don’t know if I’m going to go on those two. I still have Xavier left, I’m definitely going on that one, and I think I’m going to VCU too.”
Possible Cancellation of Virginia and Virginia Tech Visits: “Virginia Tech had just told me that they have a guy at my position committing on the weekend I’m supposed to go up there, so we kind of agreed that it’s kind of best that we not even try really. With Virginia, they really haven’t talked to me at all, honestly. On top of that, they had a guy that committed at my position and in my class a couple of days ago.”
Commitment Timeline: “I don’t have a specific date yet, but it will be coming soon. I’d say early November.”
