2026 Four-Star DeZhon Hall Talks Early Recruitment

Top-75 2026 guard DeZhon Hall has been building momentum with both his ranking and his recruitment over the past year, and more in particular the last six months. He's becoming a hot commodity in the Midwest, and has excelled in every setting including MADE Hoops' Midwest High School Academy in July. Below, he talks about schools in the mix, what he's looking for in a program, and upcoming visit plans.

His Current Recruitment: "As of right now I’d say Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Xavier, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Purdue are recruiting me the hardest."

Illinois: "They started recruiting me during the summer. What I like the most about them is from what I've seen on my unofficial visit, the bond that the players and staff have amongst each other. I also know about their tradition and I like their playing style."

Indiana: "IU has been recruiting me since spring of AAU. I attended their high school team camp and I will be on an unofficial visit there this Friday for Hoosier Hysteria. What I like about IU is that Coach (Mike)Woodson has NBA experience and knows what it takes to get players there."

Michigan State: "MSU started recruiting me after I had a great performance at Charlie Hughes showcase. I went on an unoffical visit in September, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and they have a great staff. Their play style and how Coach(Tom) Izzo mostly runs everything through his guards."

Xavier & Wisconsin: "They both recently just started recruiting me. I've had great conversations with the coaches and I’m looking forward to going on visits soon."

Ohio State: "Ohio State has been recruiting me for about a year now. I went on an unofficial visit there, and my family and I really enjoyed it. They have good history because so many pros have come out of their program."

Purdue: "Purdue has been recruiting me for over a year now. I have a good relationship with the staff and I will be talking a unoffical there soon."

What He's Looking For In A School: "I’m looking for a school that's a good fit for my play style, good culture, and a team that’s family oriented."

Visit Plans: "I have Indiana this Friday and I’m in the process of getting Xavier, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Marquette set up."
