Three Schools Making A Push For Daniel Freitag

2024 four-star point guard Daniel Freitag is a standout on the hardwood and the gridiron, and his toughness carries over to from football to basketball. He's risen in the rankings over the past year and has had a good spring in the EYCL Circuit, continuing to make a name for himself on the national stage. His recruitment has also heated up as it's believed he's starting to focus more on basketball, and he spoke with MADE Hoops' Travis Graf about three schools sticking out at this point in the process.

Notre Dame: "With Notre Dame, it’s mainly Kyle Getter. When he was at Virginia, he was recruiting me very hard and I think he’s picked up right where he’s left off now that he’s at Notre Dame. I think the relationship that he and I share is one that I enjoy and I believe that we’re fairly close."

Cal: "With Cal, I’d say because they’re just so new, I don’t have a ton of details on them although I can tell they like me. I can tell they like what they’ve heard about me, and I’ve had a lot of compliments about my personality, who I am, and they like how I play the guard spot. They think that I can come in and have an immediate impact in their eyes."

Wisconsin: "Wisconsin has been on me for a long time, I know they’ve been recruiting me the longest out of anyone. They were my first offer, this was all the way back, almost two years ago. They’ve been very consistently reaching out and they haven’t really ever taken a break on recruiting me. They’ve been to the most games out of anyone, most practices, most football games, most everything. I’d say they’re in a good spot with me and I’m in a good spot with them. They haven’t offered any other point guards in my grade or really any other grade around me."

Visit Plans: "I take an official visit to Wisconsin June 14-16."
