G League Ignite's 2024 Recruiting Board

2024’s have flown off the board over this past month with now just 14 uncommitted prospects remaining inside the Top-50. Team recruiting rankings are now beginning to take shape, with your traditional blue bloods in the mix while Missouri, Rutgers, Miami, USC and a few others are set to make some noise this cycle. But, G League Ignite remains the looming disruptor in the recruiting landscape. A commitment does not halt their efforts, as they’ve made it a trend of flipping guys late in the process. Thus far, no 2024’s have announced their intentions to join Ignite this season. Here, I’ll take a look at what their recruiting board might look like and how the roster is shaping up.

VJ Edgecombe

Since Edgecombe's ascension, the Ignite have seemed to be in the mix. And in comparison to some others, Edgecombe and his circle have been open up his interest in the Pro route. The 6-5 Bahamian wing's game caters more closely to the up-tempo style of play, whereas CBB may pose more barriers. Between style of play, strengths and developmental checkpoints ahead, the partnership would make plenty of sense. Duke is carrying some buzz post visit, but I still like the Ignite's chances here.
