Marquee Hoops Circuit Standout Kelvin Odih Talks Playing In MHC, Top Schools In Recruitment

2025 guard Kelvin Odih first entered the junior class rankings on MADE Hoops after a strong showing on the Marquee Hoops Circuit with Rhode Island Elite. Since then, he's debuted in other rankings across the industry, and his recruitment is starting to blow up, with big time programs entering the picture. Odih spoke with MADE Hoops about his recruitment -- highlighting three schools, visit plans, and new schools in the picture. He also talked about his experience on Marquee Hoops.

Playing on Marquee Hoops Circuit: “The circuit was good, and I definitely enjoyed playing against the competition there as well. I think it’s very underrated. I think people think just because it’s not the EYBL or a sneaker team that there’s no competition there, but there’s definitely competition.”

Marquette: “I can tell they take care of their players because the way that they recruit me, they always make sure that I’m good. They check on me mostly everyday, and stuff like that.”

Xavier: “I could say the same thing as well, they’re always checking in on me and making sure that I’m good. Both schools (Marquette and Xavier) always come out and show support, they’re always coming out to see me

Rutgers: “Really, the same thing, Rutgers is always checking in. Coach (TJ) Thompson is more of a guy that I can connect with, with him being like a brother. He’s close with my AAU coach as well.”

What He’s Looking For In A School: “I’m looking for where I have the deepest and closest connection with in terms of the coaching staff and the head coach as well. A place where I’ll play the most, where my playing style fits in the most, and a place closer to home where my family can actually watch the games.”

Upcoming Visits: “I have an official to Marquette on December 21st.”

New Teams Showing Interest: “Texas, Kansas, and Houston.”
