2026 Dual Sport Star Kendre Harrison Commits To Oregon

Kendre Harrison, one of the most sought-after recruits in the Class of 2026, has committed to the University of Oregon. He hasn’t just committed to play basketball, however; he’ll be playing both football and basketball while attending the university. Playing sports with an overlapping season is something few athletes can or are allowed to do; however, Harrison’s talents make him quite the exception.
Harrison is ranked as the consensus number one tight end in the Class of 2026 and a top 60 basketball player. He plays both sports for Reidsville High School and played with Team CP3 on the EYBL circuit last summer.
In Harrison’s freshman year, Reidsville was the 2A state runner-up in both basketball and football. By his sophomore year, they had elevated to state champions in both sports, helping Harrison earn the honor of MaxPreps Male National Athlete of the Year. In eight games with Reidsville this season (he transferred to Providence Day over the summer but returned a few weeks later), Harrison has gone for 33 receptions, 555 yards, and eight touchdowns. He hasn’t been on the court yet, but last season averaged 19.4 points and 15.1 rebounds per game.
Harrison had offers from dozens of schools across the country, but ultimately, he chose Oregon over Tennessee, UNC-Chapel Hill, Miami, Penn State, and Florida State (all of which recruited him in both sports). "The relationship I've built with the school is good," Harrison told ESPN about Oregon. "I trust them. My family trusts them. I've been in the recruiting process since I was in the eighth grade. They did the little things in the recruitment that mattered."
Standing at 6’8” and weighing around 250 pounds, Harrison is an intimidating player to face on the basketball court. He’s a physical, high-energy player who dominates the post, muscling other players out of the way. He’s extremely athletic as well, using his vertical to block shots and throw down highlight-reel dunks. It’ll be exciting to watch Harrison play in college in two years and see if he ends up pursuing the NBA or the NFL as a career.
