August 10, 2023 by Travis Graf
6'8" five-star forward Koa Peat finds himself slotted at No. 3 nationally in the MADE Hoops rankings of the loaded 2025 recruiting class. The physically gifted prospect always produces at a high level and, while he's able to use his strength to overpower defenders at any time, he can also step out on the perimeter and showcase his skillset with the ball in his hands. With colleges from all over the country vying for his services at the next level, there's no shortage of suitors, and he spoke to MADE Hoops' Travis Graf to breakdown some of the programs involved.

Schools Recruiting Him The Hardest: "Baylor, Arizona, Arizona State, Texas, Houston, Kentucky, UNC, Stanford, Kansas, Michigan, Michigan State, there's a lot of schools."
Baylor: "The way that they play, their coaching system. Coach (Scott) Drew's a great coach over there. I think if I went there, they'd give me a good amount of freedom, but I think that every school would do that for me."
Arizona: "Coach (Tommy) Lloyd's a great coach. Just like Baylor, they'd develop me. Coach Lloyd's talked to me and said he'd play me all over the court. I went on a visit there and the campus was nice, and everybody there was cool."
Texas: "Coach (Rodney) Terry's a great coach. Last year, he came to a live viewing at our school. He's been on me ever since. He's a good coach, pretty much like I said, he'd play me everywhere on the court and give me freedom. I think Texas is a really good school as well."
Kentucky: "Coach Cal's (John Calipari) a great coach, he gets guys to the pros. All of the talks I've had with him haven't just been about basketball, but just life in general. He's a great coach and they're a great program over there."
North Carolina: "Coach Hubert's (Davis) a really good guy, he came to a lot of my AAU games, pretty much every school on the list came to a lot of my AAU games. Over there, they develop players, too, and like I said, if I went there, they'd play me all over the court, too."
Kansas: "Coach (Bill) Self's a great coach. They offered me back when I was coming into ninth grade, so they've been on me for awhile. I haven't really been in contact that much with them, but I know they're a great school over there."
