Looking Ahead: What I'll be watching for at West Circuit Session 2

The dust has settled on West Circuit Session 1, and while there's some time before Session 2 in Sacramento, there are few notable storylines and developments we will be keyed in on. Here's what I'll be watching for at West Circuit Session 2 in late December.
Battle Near The Top —Who separates themselves?
AZ Unity Black sprinted out to a 4-0 start and an undefeated Session 1. Throughout the offseason, we heard rave reviews of the budding backcourt for this group in Moe Carter and Isaiah Rider IV. They backed that buzz, and then some. The backcourt pair mesh exceptionally well together and proved to be potent playing out in space and attacking in transition. Carter is well on his way to a breakout Winter. Rider IV continues to expand his game and grow more skilled as a scorer, while having a very strong foundation as a spot up shooter. Grant Mattingly is taking big steps forward as a table-setter and multi-level scorer, displaying promising leadership traits as a playmaker and connector. Skill level, toughness and proficiency playing in space, the pieces fit together very well for this group. Key matchups with more of the Lea8ue's elite will be of focus.
The Oakland Soldiers came in with high expectations, given their volume of high level prospects. Adan Diggs took care of business in Session 1, flaunting his high level scoring ability and blossoming pace. Kyi Kyi Miles continues to impress with his poise and skill level with the ball in his hands. I'd be hard-pressed to find many more in 2028 with a similar level of ball-handling, creativity and nuance playing in ball screens.
