Malik Abdullahi Commits to Princeton

THE LEAD
Malik Abdullahi, a Top-150 prospect in 2024, has committed to Princeton. The Christopher Columbus (FL) wing chose the Tigers over the likes of UMass, Iona, Florida Atlantic and Sam Houston State.
BACKGROUND
Coming in at the 147th spot in 2024, with potential for another jump playing against a national schedule this year, we are the lone platform in the industry to rank Abdullahi. Offers from around the map filed in after strong EYBL and scholastic period campaigns, but the Tigers sealed the deal swiftly as more programs began to loom.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Fresh off a run to the Sweet 16, Princeton has landed a very impressive trio of prospects in Abdullahi, Jack Stanton and CJ Happy. Mitch Henderson, Brett MacConnell and the Tigers continue to build a very strong foundation of success in the Ivy League and beyond with a number of national prospects on the way.
MY TAKE
A unique prospect standing at 6-7 with explosiveness, an elite motor and a gritty approach. The hard-nosed athlete is a fantastic rebounder, cutter and defender, bringing winning impact on both ends of the floor. This spring and summer with Nightrydas, Abduallhi produced 11 points (52% FG), 6 rebounds and 1 stock per game. One that you hate playing against, and love having as a teammate. The upside is exceptionally high, as Abdullahi blends a foundation of skills that should allow him to step on the floor early with promising indicators as a spot up shooter and versatile slasher.
