July 18, 2023 by Tony McNiff
Manalapan, New Jersey: Made the trip down to New Jersey for the final live period of the summer. Read more for a breakdown on some of the 15U prospects who caught my eye.
AJ Williams
2026 | Wing | New York Rens EYBL
Top-125 2026 wing AJ Williams had missed some time with an injury, although he appeared to be finding his groove again rather quickly at the Summer Jumpoff. He’s a prospect that oozes with upside given his blend of size, length & offensive versatility. Rangy slasher who covers ground quickly, plus he flashed some shotmaking ability over the weekend as well. Fluid spot-up scorer who also possesses a smooth pull-up prowess & a high release point off the bounce. The explosive finishing in the open floor also caught my eye over the weekend. It was great to see him back on the floor and he produced flashes in bunches throughout the weekend.
Keiner Asprilla
2026 | Big | New York Rens EYBL
Asprilla will likely be entering our rankings in their next update due to the strides he continues to make & the long-term promise he shows. His blend of imposing positional size (7’0”), disruptive length and a sturdy frame allow him to be a heavy two-way producer on the interior. Physical low-post scorer who has a ridiculous standing reach that tends to make his shots nearly impossible to block. Prominent putback threat on the offensive glass who leverages his strength & size to generate advantages when positioning himself on the interior. An assertive rim protector who continues to flash growing instincts & timing as a shotblocker, plus he’s made noticeable strides as a rim-runner.
Chris Powell
2026 | Guard | City Rocks EYBL
Powell is another prospect who is in heavy consideration to enter our 2026 rankings in their next update. The Westminster School (CT) product initially popped onto my radar at the NEPSAC Showcase where he put up some big numbers. He carried that momentum down to Augusta & Peach Jam where he was a big factor in City Rocks run to the championship game. Powell is a lengthy athlete with a multilevel scoring arsenal & growing polish. Fluid pull-up scorer who is a tough mid-range scorer, plus his range extends out to the arc. Continues to show glimpses of improving shot-creation skills while growing his feel as a playmaker. Quinnipiac, UAPB, & Bryant became the first programs to offer back in June.
Imahri Wooten
2026 | Guard | City Rocks EYBL
Top-55 2026 guard Imahri Wooten played well with the City Rocks E15 group in New Jersey over the weekend. He’s a skilled backcourt prospect who possesses an appealing mix of size & shotmaking ability. Potent pull-up scorer who is capable of creating space himself, plus he’s a fluid shooter off the catch as well. Wooten flashed some improving movement skills, specifically when converting euro or hop step finishes through traffic on Sunday. The New York native already holds offers from Auburn, Mizzou, Mississippi State & more.
Dylan Mingo
2026 | Guard | PSA Cardinals
Top-30 2026 guard Dylan Mingo continues to develop at a steady rate while leading this PSA Cardinals group. The Long Island Lutheran (NY) product is poised to have a bigger role as a sophomore and he’s one to look out for. Long & fluid athlete who possesses a smooth pull-up game and heady playmaking ability. He’s tracking as one of the top backcourt prospects in the class and the production speaks for itself. His blend of scoring & playmaking at his age will make him a priority for high major programs in the coming years. Virginia Tech & Washington are the latest to offer the New York native.
Drew Corrao
2026 | Big | PSA Cardinals
While Corrao is still developing & filling out physically, he thrived playing within his skillset over the weekend. Long, mobile & fluid athlete who was highly productive as a rim-runner in transition. Capable low-post scorer who has the size & length to finish over smaller opponents in the paint. Developing face-up threat who did flash some improving touch & comfortability as a floorspacer and shooter. A defensive anchor who put a lid on the rim at times with his length, instincts & timing as a shotblocker. Albany was the first program to offer the Pennsylvania native back in May.
Ryan Brzezanski
2026 | Wing | Virginia Pride
Brzezanski had a strong weekend and he’s another prospect who has plenty of upside to tap into. The blend of positional size and floorspacing caught my eye at first, however he proved to be a mismatch nightmare over time. Possesses a quick first step to attack slower defenders off the bounce, plus he’s comfortable scoring over the top of smaller defenders. Fluid spot-up scorer with the range to stretch the floor which made him a dangerous weapon in the pick & pop. Performed consistently and at a high level against multiple tough teams in Jersey.
Alonzo Archbold
2026 | Forward | New Heights MHC
Archbold was impressive this weekend while excelling in his role & impacting the game in numerous facets. He’s a tough athlete who was able to exploit slower bigs off the bounce, plus he was noticeably physical with his back to the basket. A powerful finisher who didn’t shy away from contact which allowed him to draw fouls at a high rate. Developing floorspacer who showed glimpses of his touch as a face-up scorer in the 12 to 15 foot area. Switchable defender who put together some appealing spans of play when defending in space against smaller ball handlers.
Josiah Sims
2026 | Guard | Rhode Island Elite
Sims held his own against a talented PSA Cardinals group during Saturday’s slate of games at the Summer Jumpoff. He’s a well-built athlete who leveraged his strength to work his way downhill. A heady cutter who constantly moves without the ball which allowed him to get some high-percentage looks at the rim. Reliable grab & go threat who was able to take the ball coast to coast himself after securing rebounds. A physical defender at the point of attack who has quick hands & the physical build to wall off slashers.
Chet Gore
2026 | Wing | Team Takeover National
Gore had a big offensive outing when he stuffed the scoring column against Rhode Island. He’s a long & skilled who showcased his ability to score from multiple levels. Smooth pull-up scorer while was capable of creating space with tight crossovers & quick counter moves. Confident spot-up scorer with extensive touch, plus he had the speed in his first step to beat closeouts on the perimeter. His shotmaking and downhill playmaking garnered plenty of buzz throughout the weekend. One of multiple talented prospects with a deep Team Takeover National group.
Marquis Newson
2027 | Wing | Philly Pride
Newson popped onto my radar during our East Circuit this past winter with DPS, however he seemed to be quite comfortable while playing up an age division at the Summer Jumpoff. The Delaware native is a rangy & quick-twitch athlete who is a prolific slasher off the bounce. Covers ground quickly, utilizes minimal dribbles & attacks with plenty of speed off rip-throughs. Instinctual defender who is laterally quick & leverages his instincts to generate deflections when possible. Dangerous fast break igniter who can push the ball & finish in the open floor.
Dior Anderson
2026 | Guard | Wiz Kids 3SSB
Anderson was another backcourt prospect who played well during Saturday’s action at the Summer Jumpoff. He’s a well-built athlete who is a powerful driver filled with aggression off the bounce. Strong & hard-nosed finisher who was able to convert some tough layups through contact or traffic. Still improving his consistency as a shooter, however he did flash some pull-up ability inside the arc. His strength translates to the defensive end where he’s able to wall-off opposing ball handlers attempting to get downhill.
