Micah Robinson Recruitment Entering Home Stretch

Rising senior wing Micah Robinson has been a mainstay in the 2024 class rankings for a long time, and that's not going to change as his senior season approaches. He's had a very productive spring and the list of colleges interested in him continues to grow while he also gains clarity of who's at the top. He spoke with MADE Hoops' Travis Graf to give an update on his recruitment.

LSU: "I really like the relationship that i’ve built with the coaches there. I took an unofficial last summer and everyone seemed genuine in their interest in me. "
  
TCU: "I really like TCU’s play style, I feel it fits my game exceptionally well. I feel comfortable with the coaching staff and I feel they’re confident in what I have to bring to the table."

Mississippi State: "I’ve built a strong relationship with Coach (David) Anwar, and he really wants me and believes in what I can do."

SMU: "SMU is the hometown school. I'm really comfortable with the whole coaching staff there, and I feel they view me as a player who could come in and make an early impact."

Oklahoma: "They saw me play down in College Station at our Adidas session, and since then we’ve been talking, developing a relationship, and I’ve been in talks with them about setting up an official visit."

Illinois: I’ve been in communication with coach Frazier for a while now, and he told me that he’s notice tremendous improvement in my game from the last time he saw me , and I feel he’s genuine in his interest in me

Colorado: "I’ve also been in communication with Coach (Rick) Ray for a while, and I like Colorado’s defensive mindset and how they approach their game."

Virginia Tech: "I’ve been in communication with Coach (Kevin) Giltner and Coach (JD) Byers for little while, and I like their play style and how they incorporate their wings in their offense."

Arkansas: "I really like how Arkansas runs their offense, it’s very similar to the pro game now. They prioritize running in transition, which is something I feel is a strength to my game." 

Visit Plans: "I have an official to TCU set for June 1-3, and I’ve been in talks with LSU, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma about upcoming visits."

Decision Timeline: "Ideally, with the way this summer is going so far, I want to narrow my list down to maybe 6 or 8 by the end of the summer, then ultimately have my decision made by my birthday on September 23rd. Maybe earlier than that just depending on how everything turns out."
