Sir Mohammed Commits to Notre Dame

2024 | 6’6” Guard | Myers Park (NC) & Team Curry (UAA)

The #99 player in our 2024 rankings, Sir Mohammed has committed to Notre Dame over Marquette, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Villanova and more. He is set to join Garrett Sundra (#129 in 2024) and Cole Certa (#133 in 2024) in Notre Dame’s 2024 recruiting class. Also important to note that he is the son of NBA-veteran Nazr Mohammed who played for 15+ years in the NBA. Micah Shrewsberry has put together a strong class in the early going and it’ll be interesting to see if anyone else joins. 

Mohammed is a well-built wing guard who impacts the game in numerous ways at 6’6”. Not the most explosive or bursty slasher, yet he’s filled with power & force when attacking off the bounce. Possesses an advanced feel & vision for his size which gives him the ability to pass over smaller guards. Tough positional rebounder who plays physical on the glass and holds his own. Has shown flashes of extending shooting range & touch, although improving his consistency as a shooter on the perimeter will be key. Aggressive on-ball defender who has the physical build and instincts to wall off slashers. The size, feel and downhill playmaking pop most at this stage, yet the bloodlines & physical tools give him plenty of more upside to tap into down the road in South Bend.
