Ty Davis Commits To Creighton

The #139 player in our 2024 rankings, Ty Davis recently committed to Creighton over Northwestern and Oregon. The Alabama native also held offers from the likes of Davidson, Richmond, Marshall, Belmont & multiple others. He is the Bluejays first official commit in the 2024 recruiting class. This was a strong early pickup for Coach McDermott & staff considering Davis’s recruitment could’ve ascended even more throughout the summer. They landed a prominent stockriser who is a strong first piece to their next recruiting class. 

Davis is a heady floor general with an appealing blend of size and playmaking at 6-foot-5. He’s a crafty and fairly manipulative ball handler who leverages his feel to pick apart opposing defenses & closeouts. Tends to excel in an opportunistic scoring role where he’s more than capable of hurting defenses from multiple levels. Reliable spot-up shooter & pull-up scorer with extensive touch, although there’s room to diversify his shot profile & to improve his perimeter shooting percentages. Poised backcourt prospect who plays at a composed pace & displays advanced processing skills. Will need to bulk up and add muscle physically, yet the blend of size, feel & evident skill should have fans in Omaha excited.
