West Circuit Preview: AZ Unity Black

Just like that, Year X of the Winter Circuit is around the corner. Here, I'll be taking an early look at the Red League teams out West. Today, we've got AZ Unity Black.

Arizona Unity has quickly become one of the West Circuit’s elites over the past two winters. This year’s AZ Unity Black roster blends steady, high feel pieces with a number of X-Factors who elevate their ceiling.

Grant Mattingly, fresh off a breakout winter, returns as the key figure for this group. An excellent BBIQ, scoring craft and a maturity the bleeds into everyone around him.

Isaiah Rider IV has shown indicators of making massive strides, both skill wise and as an athlete. Now, the son of a former top five draft selection, looks primed for a leap.

Both Zen London and Mekhi Neeley showed well late in last year’s Circuit and in camps, now looking to carry it over into the Red Lea8ue — a pair of, steady, physical guards who can pressure the rim and make shots.

We’ll be keeping close tabs on Moe Carter — who has drawn rave reviews this offseason.

Coach Boswell said, “He keeps getting better. He’s going to have a huge Circuit.”
