Spotlight: Montverde

Montverde Academy has become synonymous with dominance the past few years, producing no shortage of future NBA players including three former number one selections. This roster looks no different, as they are littered with Top-20 prospects across all four classes.

An elite senior core fits together like a glove, but the back-end of their rotation is stocked with prospects like Caleb Gaskins, Dhani Kayden Allen and Gabe Nesmith, who are very highly touted within their own class. Kevin Boyle and the Eagles are the early favorites to lift the GEICO Championship trophy in 2023-24.

Cooper Flagg (Class of 2024 || Duke signee)

Arguably the top long-term prospect in America and the early favorite for the top overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft. A multi-tooled player at 6-8, he blends high level athleticism with an elite basketball IQ.

Ace Flagg (Class of 2025)

A 6-7 junior forward and Cooper's twin, is a hard-nosed, physical presence fresh off a very nice summer in the EYBL. As tough as they come, Flagg does all the little things to impact winning and should provide value in MVA's deep rotation of talent.

Liam McNeeley (Class of 2024 || Indiana signee)

A top-10 prospect in the senior class and has been on the radar since early in his high school career. A dynamic shooter with a mature skillset, he is one that could be dropped in a game, at any level, anywhere across the planet and find a way to impact winning.

Rob Wright III (Class of 2024 || Baylor signee)

He joins Montverde Academy after three successful seasons at Neumann-Goretti (PA). A handful to keep out of the paint paired with playmaking instincts and disruptive on-ball defense, he looks to be the straw that stirs the drink for the nation's top team.

Curtis Givens (Class of 2024 || LSU signee)

Givens burst onto the national scene last year with MVA and parlayed the success into a fantastic spring with MoKan in the EYBL. A skilled guard capable of taking on both scoring or playmaking duties, he is going to be easy to get on the floor for Coach Kevin Boyle and very tough to keep off.

Asa Newell (Class of 2024 || Georgia signee)

Newell is a top-10 prospect in the senior class, but his basketball is well ahead of him. The 6-9 athlete has fantastic hands, pogo stick leaping ability and is more than capable stretching the floor out to three. Producing at a high level already, but it will not be long till you see him near the top of the NBA Draft big boards.

More Players to Watch:

Gonzaga (DC)

Derek Dixon (No. 50 overall || 2025)

Nyk Lewis (No. 70 || 2025)

Christian Gurdak (No. 100 || 2025)

Will Harper (No. 148 || 2025)
