The latest with his Nassir Little's recruitment

Class of 2018 small forward Nassir Little

Nassir Little was one of the dominant performers at the Super 16 Showcase. Little is one of the top small forwards in the class of 2018. He is looking to close out this AAU season on a high note with his team, 1 Family.

“It’s been really good, we have a couple new players this year,” he said. “At first we kind of started off slow and were still getting used to each other. After some time, we have all started to play well and individually everyone is getting better so it’s a fun experience.”

He has become more of a well-rounded player in the past year. Little credits this to working on his perimeter game.

“When I was younger I was a raw talent, but I had to refine my skillset,” said Little. “I have been working on my perimeter skills because in college I will be playing the two and three. I’ve been working on ball handling, shooting, getting my teammates involved and things like that.”

After a jump in his recruitment this spring, Little decided to push back his recruitment plans.

“I was planning on committing this August, but this past Spring I picked up more than ten offers, which pushed it back a bit,” he told MADEHoops. “I’m just focusing on getting better right now and I’ll take care of my commitment later on.”

He has a long list of high major programs involved with his recruitment.

“I’m hearing a lot from UNC, Kansas, Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Southern California, Louisville, South Carolina and more,” he said.

Florida has been active with his recruitment for quite some time. He finds the Gators to be an intriguing option for him.

“I know the coaches very well so I’m comfortable with that program,” Little said. “They like to get out in transition and give their players a lot of freedom on offense. They press as well, which is what I like to do. Those are a couple of the things I like about their program.”

Louisville is another program that has made a strong recruiting pitch to Little.

“They like the way I play and I fit in with that they do well,” said Little. “We usually press on my AAU team so they have seen that and they really like that. They also like that my athleticism allows me to do things that most players can’t do.”

Little sees himself possibly visiting four schools in the near future.

“I could be visiting Southern California, UCLA, Georgia Tech and possibly Miami sometime this summer,” he said.
