One of the top class of 2019 prospects in the country Cole Anthony shined at NBPA Top 100 Camp. Anthony has had a great spring with the PSA Cardinals and he continued that at camp by scoring the ball as well as distributing to his teammates. Anthony got the opportunity to see some of the players he has the most chemistry with.
“I got to see where a lot of the talent is here and see in the future who I can potentially play with,” he said.
On June 15th Anthony heard from Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Oregon, UCLA, Maryland, Stanford, UNLV, Arizona, Villanova, UConn, Wake Forest, Louisville, Virginia, Notre Dame, Illinois, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Memphis, Baylor, Georgetown, California and Utah, according to 247Sports’ Andrew Slater. He watched players at some of these schools as well as others this past college season to try and take some things from their game.
“I try to watch the people at my position because there are so many great players at the college level,” said Anthony. “I just try to take one thing from each player when I watch them.”
Anthony is looking into playing with class of 2019 guard Bryan Antoine. The two of them have developed a close relationship and Anthony has a great appreciation for his game.
“Bryan is a great player, he can shoot it and get to the basket,” he said. “Anyone can play with him, he is just so easy to play with. It’s awesome to have a dude like that.”
Anthony and Antoine have talked on possibly playing together on the college level.
“We have actually, we have been talking about that recently,” Anthony said.
Anthony is looking to surround himself with a certain type of players at the next level.
“They have to of course be skilled, but the most important thing to me is their basketball I.Q.” Anthony said. “You have to play winning basketball and I need dudes that are going to help me win because that’s my goal.”
