They had multiples teams competing at every level, they had racked up some impressive wins and even secured a victory playing 4 against 5. Head Coach Brian Scalabrine was there bright and early checking in on everything and was eager to get on the court with his 17U team. This program has depth, good coaches, smart players and they should be a tough game for anyone in the MHC.
It starts with the guard play for NE Revolt and D1 colleges need to check in. This is a big time team flying under the radar a bit in the MHC but should be dangerous all season. Ras Godbolt is back for one more run as a mercurial point guard, while Keith Robinson looks like one of the breakout candidates in the early going.
There were a few impressive wins by some programs that drew some attention. Rivals Elite Orange, House of Hoops, MCIB, NH Reign all players who could play at the next level. The depth of teams today was outstanding especially at the 17U and 16U level. The championships in the younger are groups were definitely well earned.
Keep an Eye on Metro Boston
A team that definitely caught the collective eye was Metro Boston MHC- which had two solid wins and gave NE Revolt MHC their best game. This team has a passionate coaching staff, a plethora a tough guards, physical bigs and a lot of offense. They will need to play more as a team but they flashed some excellent potential and have a few prospects for the next level.
