2025 NYC Clash: 16U Standouts

Queens College and several other gyms scattered throughout the city hosted the NYC Clash. This MADE Hoops event is a two day showcase of some excellent MHC teams, lots of local talent and a few big time prospects. Here are just some of the top performers from the 16U division.

Robert Gilmore | 2027 Forward | Kips Bay (NY)

Gilmore was with Kips Bay 15U championship team last season and played as more of a straight center. Not getting a ton of minutes on a deep and upperclassmen-laden Eagle Bronx team allowed the emergent big man to really focus on expanding his game. He looked way more fluid than ever before and comfortable attacking the rim on straight line drives. It’s a big leap forward for the 6-foot-6 forward

Justyn Harrison | 2027 Guard | Boys2Men (NY)

Harrison was great in their comeback effort against Kips Bay, getting into the lane and either getting to the line, finishing at the rim, or kicking out to open teammates. An aggressive guard on both ends of the floor, he forced a number of turnovers as Boys2Men ramped up their pressure.

Simon Ogwuche | 2027 Forward | NY Jayhawks (NY)

While his offensive game wasn’t always hyper efficient, Ogwuche was effective around the basket and continues to show that he’s capable of putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim. A hard playing big man, Ogwuche figures to be a matchup nightmare for most teams on the MHC this season.

Dabra Kio Amieyeofori | 2027 Forward | 6th Boro Hoops (NY)

It’s clear that Amieyeofori’s best basketball is still well ahead of him, but at 6-foot-7 with great length and activity, his ceiling is very high. He moves well and was effective in the mid-range as well as around the basket, and showed some real wing skill at times. 6th Boro’s 16U team has gotten out to a strong start, and Amieyeofori has played a big part.

Cam Obijuru | 2027 Wing | Level Up LI (NY)

The coaching staff of Level Up 16U was excited to talk about how crucial Obijuru is to their team. He made several plays, was active on the boards, finished around the basket and wasn’t afraid to challenge in the post. His upside will be something to monitor on the circuit and over the next few seasons in the CHSAA.

Dimitry Beauduy | 2027 Forward | New Haven Heat (CT)

A powerful and athletic combo forward who has real wing skills, Beauduy played with a ton of energy and fought for every 50/50 ball that remotely came his way. He is a good slasher and rebounder capable of guarding multiple positions.

Trey Lonardo | 2027 Wing I Nova Cavs (VA)

A skilled wing guard who can score by putting it on the floor and getting to the rim or spotting up as a shooter, Lonardo can play seemingly anywhere 2-4 for this Nova Cavs team. He looked comfortable guarding up and showcased solid vision as a passer. The Nova Cavs are one of the better programs on the Challenger circuit in year one, and Lonardo will look to compete with his 16U team.

Ethan Ben-Aime | 2027 Wing | Rens United (CT)

A long and rangy slasher with the ability to defend multiple positions, Ben-Aime is an intriguing wing guard prospect in the long run. He looks like he will stretch out a bit and is able to get to the rim on straight line drives.

Charles Gadsden | 2026 Guard | NE Revolt (NY)

A rangy and talented scorer, Gadsden will opt for an additional year and prep program at some point. The 6-foot-3 guard showcased his full offensive arsenal, scoring both inside and out and hit a number of big threes during his time at NYC Clash. It will be interesting to see what he does with the rest of the AAU season.

Amir Dickerson | 2026 Guard | Rising Stars (NY)

The talented Long Island native is still figuring out what the next steps are, but a move to the class of 2027 appears imminent. A long and rangy guard who plays hard on both ends of the floor and can get to the rim with ease, Dickerson has been one of the big stock risers to emerge from Rising Stars this season. It will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go.
