2026 MADE Hoops Midwest Shootout: Sunday Storylines and Superlatives

Braylon Cloud, 2030 Guard, Team Goose

Championship Sunday of the MADE Midwest Shootout in Hamilton, OH delivered an exciting finish, featuring competitive matchups and individual standouts.

Each title game brought unique storylines, from dominant interior play to high-level guard battles and clutch execution under pressure. Players showcased skill, poise, and the ability to perform in big moments. Across divisions, games highlighted both offense and defense: post players controlled the paint, while dynamic guards created shots and managed tempo. Defensive intensity helped several teams swing momentum and close out victories.

The event not only crowned deserving champions but also showcased rising prospects and talented teams.

Team Goose vs Cannon Elite 2030

This matchup proved closer than the final score suggested. Team Goose excelled at spacing the floor and demonstrated great patience on offense, effectively slowing Cannon Elite’s tempo.

In the closing moments, Cannon Elite’s talent and guard play from Braylan Davis and Denin Whittington proved to be the difference. Their high-IQ roster executed the game plan nearly to perfection. They executed well down the stretch, and their defense was stout when it mattered most.

Phenom United Charging vs Midwest Basketball Club-Brockman 2031

Phenom Charg1ng blew the game open by putting together a dominant performance on both ends of the floor. This was one of the more decisive matchups of the weekend, with their relentless energy setting the tone early and never letting up.

Tyrone Lindsey’s overwhelming presence was central to the win. He stood out physically at 6-foot-5 with power, which let him control the paint and finish through contact, anchoring Phenom Charging’s interior on both ends. His timing and length made it hard for MBC Brockman to finish inside, forcing them to adjust their offensive approach.

Phenom Charging also received a major offensive spark from guard Jaden Tonyemba. Displaying impressive confidence and shot-making ability, Toyenba knocked down shots from multiple spots, stretching the defense. Whether pulling up from the perimeter, attacking gaps, or finishing in rhythm, he always found ways to score and pressure the defense.

Despite the one-sided result, MBC Brockman found positives. Point guard Caden Glass created consistent opportunities with strong shooting and playmaking.

Glass displayed impressive burst and composure, breaking down defenders and showing flashes of a floor general who operated well under pressure.
Indiana Wolves vs. 1of1 Academy 2032

The 2032 championship matchup between the Indiana Wolves and 1of1 turned into one of the weekend’s most competitive games. As both teams traded momentum throughout this tight battle, runs by one side were swiftly countered by the other. Intensity remained high from start to finish, and ultimately, the Indiana Wolves executed better down the stretch, pulling away late for a 14-point victory, the closest margin among all championship contests.

A major key to the Wolves’ win was their defensive effort. Indiana consistently applied a strong, disciplined defense that slowed down 1of1’s normally high-powered offense. Known for playing at a fast pace and generating easy scoring opportunities, 1 of 1 struggled to find the same rhythm in this game. The Wolves’ ability to get stops, force difficult shots, and control the tempo helped them gradually build a lead as the game entered the final stretch.

In what was an entertaining, competitive game throughout, several players stepped up for Indiana. Carson Line was especially impactful, making timely plays on both ends. His shooting kept the offense moving, and his defense disrupted 1of1’s opportunities. Line’s presence was felt throughout the contest, as he carried a large portion of the scoring load for Indiana and finished the game with 22 points. Much of his production came from his dominance in the paint, where his strength and physicality enabled him to finish consistently at the rim. His interior scoring helped balance the Wolves’ attack and made it difficult for 1 of 1 to focus on stopping any single player.

Despite the loss, several 1of1 players stood out with strong performances. Cyril Clemens was particularly impressive, showcasing a smooth handle and the ability to create off the dribble. Repeatedly attacking the defense, he kept up the pressure on the Wolves and generated opportunities to keep his team in the contest.

Jeremiah Poole was another player who made an impact for 1of1. Poole showed that he can really shoot the basketball, spacing the floor and knocking down perimeter shots. In addition to his shooting ability, he wasn’t afraid to attack the rim, especially in transition situations where he looked comfortable pushing the pace and challenging defenders at the basket.

Indiana Wolves’ defensive intensity, timely shooting, and balanced contributions proved decisive. While 1 of 1 had strong moments, the Wolves’ clutch defense and execution secured the win.
