’26 Dylan Mingo Is A Hot Commodity Early

Dylan Mingo, the No. 12 player in the 2026 class according to the MADE Hoops rankings, was one of the most impressive players in E15 play this past summer, and was also dominant at MADE Hoops East HSA a few weeks ago. He’s a 2026 prospect that’s getting early offers and interests from a bunch of power five programs and a player who will undoubtedly be pursued by the recruiting big dogs in due time. Below, he talks with MADE Hoops about some of the early schools showing him the most love.

Dayton: “I like their school and their conference, the A-10, its a good conference. Their coaching staff is pretty good also.”

Oklahoma State: “I actually talked to their coach the other day when he came to our open gym at LuHi. He’s just showing a lot of support and a lot of love.”

St. John’s: “It’s in New York, so I’d love to go to a school like that close to home. It would be great playing for Coach Rick Pitino, he’s a great coach.”

Virginia Tech: “They’re in the ACC and its a great conference, playing against Duke and those other schools is great competition. I talk to Coach JD (Byers) the most.”

Washington: “They were one of the first schools to recruit me. Doing that, recruiting me early, that’s like a plus one to all of the other schools. Coach Ben Lee is recruiting me from there. Coaches can’t contact us yet, but when I spoke to him on the phone, he said he’s going to watch my game film and watch me play. He actually said that he’s been watching me for awhile, so I love that from them. We’ll get closer as time goes.”

Dream Schools Growing Up: “Arkansas or Kansas. Arkansas’ guard play every year is amazing and recently they’ve produced guards to the league every year. I feel like Kansas is kind of like a system, but they always find a way to win and they play really hard.”

What He’s Looking For In A School: “First, I would say a school that contacts me a lot and really wanting me to go to their school. I want to speak to the head coach and the whole coaching staff, bring me up there for visits, and coaches that will call me without me having to call them.”
