JJ Watts Emerging as a versatile Defensive Force in 2027

Class of 2027 wing JJ Watts is quietly building a reputation as one of the top defenders in his class, and his growth over the past year has college programs starting to take notice.

Coming off a strong high school season, Watts faced one of the most challenging schedules in his state—an opportunity that allowed him to measure himself against elite competition and grow through experience. “This high school season went really well,” he said. “We had one of the toughest schedules in the state, so we got to play some really good teams. I improved by watching more film, being more vocal, and trying to make better decisions during games.”
