Army National Guard presents 'Guard Watch': Dean Hogans
June 11, 2024 by MADE Hoops Staff
Dean Hogans might be one of the most slept on players in all of high school basketball. The rising senior started to boost his stock this high school season while playing for Hotchkiss (NY) and has elevated it even more while playing for 6th Boro on the MADE Hoops Circuit.
Hogans has terrific feel for the game and soft touch on his shots. He gets to his spots at a high level due to his triple threat ability upon the catch on the perimeter. His jumper falls at such a high rate that defenders tend to fall for every head fake and pump fake, which then allows Hogans to take a couple of dribbles and either get into the lane or pull up for a jumper. His perimeter skill set combined with his positional size at 6’4” makes him a very intriguing prospect.
The 2025 guard currently holds an offer from American University, but has a lot of other D1 programs very interested in throwing out an offer after a great showing in May’s DMV Live. His game combined with his high academic standing will have countless options on the table by the time he’s ready to commit.
