Memphis, Tennessee: Session Four of the prestigious Nike EYBL has lived up to the hype and there is countless storylines from the first two days of action. We've got you covered with an extensive breakdown of some notable takeaways that have popped in Memphis.
2024 forward Jarin Stevenson continued his big weekend with an 18 point & 7 rebound outing on Sunday. Bouncy rim finisher who is a prominent lob threat given his size & soft hands. Highly productive rebounder who plays with a high motor & aggression on the glass. The Top-20 frontcourt prospect is being pursued by a plethora of high-major programs.
2025 wing Tounde Yessoufou went for 29 points (12-19 FG) during Sunday’s action. Possesses distinct physical tools due to his blend of positional size, aggression, & vertical pop. 2024 guard Trent Perry has been highly productive throughout the action in Memphis. Heady floor general who excels at playing within skillset & role. Crafty ball handler whose highly methodical when getting to his spots. Capable pull-up scorer who can shoot from the perimeter, although his touch & float-game have popped in Memphis as well. UCLA, Colorado, USC, St. Mary’s & more are involved in the West Coast products recruitment.
2024 guard Austin Swartz continues to scorch the nets at Session Four. The North Carolina native has earned countless new offers this spring after producing at a high level. Polished scorer with a diverse shot profile & on/off ball versatility. Showcases a quick-trigger & fluid release to go along with extensive range as a spot-up scorer. Continues to flash playmaking chops & enhanced processing.
2024 guard Bishop Boswell ended with 20 points, 10 rebounds, & 6 assists during an outing on Sunday. The North Carolina native is an underrated backcourt prospect who were very high on given his Top-40 ranking. Well-rounded & balanced lead guard who impacts the game in numerous facets. Opportunistic scorer, willing playmaker, & a productive rebounder with plus on-ball defense. The stock continues to trend upwards & more programs are getting involved by the day.
2024 big Khaman Maker continues to anchor the interior for Oakland Soldiers. Toolsy frontcourt prospect with advanced positional size, disruptive length, & ample ground coverage. Assertive rim-protector and prominent weak-side rotator with impressive instincts & timing. Reliable lob threat with a proficient first jump & growing hand strength. UNLV, Arizona State, Mizzou, & more have offered the West Coast product.
2024 guard Jalil Bethea erupted for 28 points earlier today in a win over The Family. Sharpshooting off-guard with a diverse shot profile & high-volume scoring ability. His extensive shooting range & touch were on full display today (6-8 3PT FG). He’s made strides as a pull-up scorer where he’s become much more comfortable attacking closeouts. 2025 wing forward Jaion Pitt continues to be one of the most productive prospects regardless of division. Hard-nosed, forceful rim finisher who is a physical ball handler at the point of attack. Plays much bigger than his size suggests, as he’s highly productive & tough on the glass. Developing perimeter scorer whose flashed expanding range & touch on a few different occasions. California is the latest to offer & more should come soon for the underrated Canada product.
2024 wing Billy Richmond has been a notable headliner while leading the New Jersey Scholars. High-level athlete with solid positional size, adequate length, & a bouncy vertical. Springy, efficient rim finisher who is unbothered by length or size in the paint. Improved pull-up scorer whose fully capable of settling into one & two dribble mid-range jumpers. Truly excels in transition where he’s a prominent grab & go threat. Multiple high-majors are involved with the Memphis product.
2024 big Patrick Ngongba finished with two double-doubles during Sunday’s state of games. Physically imposing frontcourt prospect who is a bruising force on both ends of the floor. Seeks out contact well & often finishes through it. One of the best rebounders in the 17U Division, he’s relentless on the glass as well. UConn & Virginia Tech recently offered the Paul VI (VA) product.
2024 wing Liam McNeeley has been one of the more productive & efficient scorers down in Memphis. Ultra-skilled wing with a prominent pass, dribble & shoot skillset at 6’8”. Consistently demonstrates a high-feel without the ball, primarily when utilizing cuts & off-ball screens. The Texas native has made evident growth as a defender and he appears to be lighter on his feet compared to last summer. Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas, & many others are involved within his recruitment.
2024 wing Kon Knueppel has shown why he’s regarded as one of the top shooters in the 2024 class. Polished scorer with a prominent spot-up prowess & capable shot-creation skills. Demonstrates skilled footwork, tight crossovers, & quick processing with the ball in his hands. The sharpshooter possesses extensive range & he’s been one of the headliners in Memphis.
2025 guard Jerry Easter had 31 points (13-22 FG) & 9 rebounds against a loaded Team Thad group. Quick athlete who is a prominent grab & go threat that thrives in the open floor. Springy rim finisher with plenty of explosiveness & functional touch through traffic. Will need to develop his consistency as a shooter, yet he’s made strides as a creator. Texas A&M is the latest high-major program to offer the Ohio native.
2024 wing forward Morez Johnson recorded an eye opening double-double as he finished with 25 points & 22 rebounds in a win. The Illinois commit is a high-energy frontcourt prospect who plays with a relentless motor. Forceful, aggressive finisher who has a strong understanding of leveraging his frame to carve up space. Athletic rim protector who recorded blocks by utilizing his length & quick verticality to protect the rim. Illinois landed a strong pickup early & Johnson should be a strong fit in Coach Underwood’s system.
