One of Raleigh, North Carolina’s top unsigned seniors is off the board, as 6-foot-3 guard Noah Diggs has committed to Division III University of Southern Maine. Diggs picked Southern Maine over other top choices, UMass-Boston and Emerson.
“I wanted to find a place that’s good for me academically, because I want to study engineering in college,” said Diggs, “and then make sure I was in the right spot for myself basketball wise.
“Coach Mikey [Coppersmith], he really has a plan for me. They really have a good culture, and that was definitely the biggest thing for me.”
Diggs attends Ravenscroft (NC), where he spent three years on varsity and won two conference championships. Diggs went a combined 49-35 in his high school career, while also playing against top competition every winter in the John Wall Holiday Invitational. Diggs also played for a number of AAU teams, including Garner Road, EA Prep Stars, Cap City Charlotte, and Grassroots NC among others. He was also named to the 2026 Love of the City All-Star Game, for top seniors in North Carolina.
Diggs’ top priority for his freshman season of college hoops? Get as many in-game reps as possible.
“My goal is to make an impact,” he explained, “whether that’s scoring, defending, being an energy guy or glue guy for my team, whatever I have to do. I just want to develop myself and my game in every aspect.”
