Shawn Nelson’s recruitment heating up, visits planned

Barton (D2) transfer Shawn Nelson recently entered the transfer portal and will have an additional year due to the new JUCO ruling. The talented guard averaged 18.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this season and posted shooting splits of 50/41/73 while showing some defensive playmaking chops as well. Since entering, numerous D1 programs have shown interest and he also has a couple of visits planned, one for today and one for next week.
