Opportunity and production have begun to intersect in a meaningful way for freshman combo guard Hudson Mayes as the season has unfolded at UC San Diego. What started as a steady rotational role has gradually evolved into a much larger presence, with his minutes climbing each month and his statistical impact rising right alongside them. The trajectory points to a player becoming increasingly comfortable with responsibility on the ball while visibly earning greater trust from the coaching staff.
